my audrey in unst

back from vacation with a successful re-entry into real life. while away, i had productive knitting time on the long plane journey and while relaxing on the deck overlooking the ocean. i am working on audrey in unst, an absolutely lovely pattern written by Gundren Johnston. i bought this pattern a while ago and it has been sitting in my 'to knit' file far too long.  many knitters on Ravelry have commented on how well written and creative this pattern is.  i completely agree, it has to be one of the best written patterns ever. mock side seams are a nice detail in the pattern. They are simply worked as one stitch interruptions of the stockinette rows with reverse stockinette.  i chose to use Quince & Co. chickadee in colorway Goldfinch. It's a lovely American wool that is a little stetchy, which is nice for body fitting sweaters. i've just started on the sleeves, which a great point to have an excuse to go to the button store.
